On Thursday, April 30, 2026, a talk and skills development workshop titled “DUKES PLUS CAREER SCHOOL – NEXT STEPS NAVIGATION” was held for Grade 10 and 11 students participating in the Studies Abroad program. The guest speaker was Ms. Alicia Smith, Programme Management Director at InvestIN, in an event co-organized by Mandoulides Schools, InvestIN, and Dukes Plus.
During the workshop, students participated in five interactive masterclasses focused on:
- Skill recognition through experiential activities and goal-setting exercises.
- The development of professional conduct and effective communication.
- Practicing professional discussions, the art of the “elevator pitch,” and creating a personal professional profile (LinkedIn).
- Interview techniques, featuring practical training and feedback on delivering assertive introductions.
- Refining and tailoring their CVs to meet diverse academic and professional requirements.
The talk was particularly informative and inspired students to consider their future study and career prospects in a more meaningful and realistic way.
