The Educational Program “The Journey of Food” at Mandoulides Schools

On Wednesday, December 4, a trainer from the organization “Boroume” implemented the educational program “The Journey of Food” in the High School library of Mandoulides Schools, with the participation of the Environmental Team of the Junior High School.

Specifically, Ms. Chrysi Tsolaki, Regional Coordinator of Central Macedonia for the organization “Boroume,” conducted an educational workshop aimed at raising awareness among students, focusing primarily on reducing food waste and promoting healthy and sustainable nutrition.

The members of the Environmental Team responded with great interest to the information and challenges presented in the workshop. Furthermore, the potential for further related activities in collaboration with “Boroume” was discussed.

“Boroume” is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and increasing food assistance across Greece.

The program “The Journey of Food” is an initiative by “Boroume” in schools, and it is part of the National Program on Exercise and Healthy Nutrition – Tackling Childhood Obesity, led by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNICEF.
