The 2nd grade students of the Elementary School had a unique experience by participating in the innovative educational program “I paint my school”, which was implemented as part of the “The Hellenic Mosaic” project with the support of the Municipality of Kalamaria. Through an experiential and interactive approach, the children had the opportunity to discover what school life was like in past eras, compare the conditions and daily routines of children back then with their own, and understand the importance of historical continuity.
With great enthusiasm, they learned about traditional teaching methods and old-fashioned playground games, while also leaving their personal mark by creating crafts with traditional materials. The program successfully sparked their interest in our cultural heritage in a simple yet creative way, while also highlighting the timeless value of education.
