The students of the 4th grade at Mantoulidis Schools participated in the educational program titled “The Wonderful World of Bees.” Starting from the related chapter in Environmental Studies and the “Well-being” unit from the Skills Workshops, the children worked for several weeks on topics such as ecosystems, the food chain, and healthy nutrition.
The highlight of the program was their introduction to the bee. Through hands-on activities, the children came into contact with the beehive and honeycomb and learned how honey is produced. Finally, they created their own paper beehive, applying their knowledge of polygons.
