2nd-grade students Plant … the Future!
With great joy and enthusiasm, the 2nd-grade students of E. Mandoulides Schools participated in a volunteer tree-planting initiative on Sunday, March 9, in the suburban forest of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the initiative “All Together We Can.”
This event had a dual purpose: on the one hand, to contribute, both young and old, to the restoration of the natural environment in Seich–Sou and on the other, to instill in children the values of social responsibility and environmental awareness. Most importantly, the initiative aimed to teach children that protecting nature is everyone’s responsibility and that even the smallest action can have a big impact.
The excitement among the children was palpable as they eagerly planted trees, shovels in hand and smiles on their faces, making their own contribution to preserving and regenerating this precious green lung of Thessaloniki. During this event, representatives of “All Together We Can” spoke to the students about the importance of forests, their role in environmental protection, and the need to care for nature every day.
This initiative was not just an act of love for nature but also a valuable life lesson for our students. Throughout their active participation, they experienced the joy of giving, learned about teamwork, and took on responsibilities for the common good.
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of this wonderful initiative, and we hope our students will continue to show the same love and care for the environment in the future!
