World Food Day

Food is the third most basic human need after air and water. The world’s farmers produce enough food to feed more than the global population, yet hunger persists.

Food stands for diversity, nutrition, affordability, accessibility and safety. Unhealthy diets are the leading cause of all forms of malnutrition and obesity, which now exist in most countries. Yet today, too many people suffer from hunger and are unable to afford healthy diets.

As conscientious and caring educators dedicated to guiding our students towards developing healthier eating habits, we are proud to participate in the #WorldFoodDay Campaign organized by FAO. We have a role to play; to educate young people to make healthy food choices, reduce food waste and protect the environment aligned with SDGs 1, 2, 3 & 8.
