Dukes Plus – SBC (Summer Boarding Courses)
Headington Boarding School, Oxford (6 – 20 July 2026)
This year, Mandoulides Schools once again successfully organized its long-established Summer Educational Programme at Headington Boarding School in Oxford, England.
Primary and Junior High School students attended English language classes tailored to their individual proficiency levels while participating in a wide range of sports, social, and cultural activities at the renowned boarding school.
As part of the programme, students explored the historic city of Oxford, taking part in guided walking tours as well as the popular Hop-On Hop-Off Open-Top Double-Decker Bus Tour, which introduced them to the colleges that make up the world-famous University of Oxford. As part of their interactive learning experience, they also visited the Ashmolean Museum, where they discovered fascinating exhibits from ancient civilizations.
The programme also included a day trip to London, where students visited some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Regent Street, Oxford Street, and many more.
In addition, the group attended the theatrical performance “John Cleese’s Fawlty Towers – The Play” at the New Theatre Oxford.
One of the highlights of the educational journey was the group’s visit to Thorpe Park. The students enjoyed an unforgettable day experiencing some of the park’s most exciting attractions, including Colossus, Nemesis Inferno, Flying Fish, and many other rides.
Through this educational trip, students immersed themselves in British culture, strengthened their English language skills, and formed friendships with peers from around the world.
