As part of the Ancient Greek curriculum, the 9th‑grade students attended the theatrical performance “Helen by Euripides” by the Yuli Iliopoulou Theatre Company on Wednesday, May 13, at the Forest Theatre.
This is a tragicomedy with a strong anti‑war message, preserving its timeless relevance by blending drama with elements of comedy. Euripides overturns the traditional myth of the Trojan War, offering a peace‑oriented interpretation that highlights the futility of conflict and the triumph of truth and love.
The performance featured live music with seven instruments on stage, a twelve‑member cast of actors and singers, original costumes, and impressive choreography.
