As part of the literature program “Book Groups,” an online discussion was held between a group of 8th-grade students and the author Eleni Svoronou on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The students, having read during the 2025 – 2026 school year the author’s books I, Trebizond and The Lost Mosaic of Hagia Sophia, published by Kalentis, submitted questions to Ms. Svoronou about these specific books as well as about her noteworthy body of work in general. They also shared with her their broader reflections on literature, history, and culture. The discussion became more interactive with a quiz and concluded with the promise of an in‑person meeting at a historical monument in our city.
