The students of the Junior High School Environmental Team carried out their second educational field trip to the Thermi Dam on May 6.
This excursion complemented the one held in November, as it allowed the completion of the Ecology experiments that had begun during the first visit. Specifically, the experiments measuring primary productivity and decomposition rate within this ecosystem were concluded, giving students the opportunity to become familiar with biological fieldwork practices.
At the same time, the members of the Environmental Team had the chance to admire the spring landscape of the dam and its lakes, which, thanks to this year’s abundant rainfall, have returned to their normal water levels.
