On Thursday, January 22, 2026, a First Aid seminar was held for the Middle and High School of our Educational Institution. The seminar was attended via Teams by 7th to 11th Grade students and covered the theoretical part of their annual First Aid training. The program is organized and delivered by the Hellenic Humanitarian Organization for Resuscitation “Kids Save Lives,” with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports.

The aim of the program is to raise awareness, inform, and train students on issues of prevention, health promotion, and health education, as well as to equip them with essential lifesupport skills.

In particular, the students and teachers who attended received theoretical training on the following topics:

  • Recognition of cardiac arrest and stroke
  • Management of an unconscious victim and a victim without normal breathing
  • Management of choking due to a foreign body
  • Calling emergency services

Next, students will participate in handson practice sessions (two hours per class) under the guidance of Ms. D. Ligoura, the school nurse and ERC Instructor, in collaboration with the physical education teachers, who have been trained and certified by “Kids Save Lives” free of charge through this program.

Upon completion of the training, two teams (one from junior and one from senior high school) will represent the school in the National CPR Competition.
