Student Dimitris Toulis (Class of ‘25) was awarded by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, along with other students who will represent our country at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence. The award ceremony took place during the Artificial Intelligence Conference, where the Prime Minister held a discussion with MIT Professor Constantinos Daskalakis on the sectors where the AI revolution could contribute, such as healthcare, civil protection, defense, and education.
It is worth noting that student Dimitris Toulis, after securing first place in the 1st Panhellenic Artificial Intelligence Competition (PAIC), earned the top score and thus secured the first of the four spots on the National AI Team, which will represent Greece at the International Olympiad in AI (IOAI 2025) in Beijing, China (August 2–9, 2025).
