As part of Current Affairs, a special event took place on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Mandoulides Cultural and Sports Centre. Keynote speaker Ms. L. Kovatsi, Coroner and Assistant Professor of Medicine at AUTH, talked to the students of 9th and 10th Grade about ethyl alcohol.
Ms. Kovatsi informed students about the effects of alcohol and the dangers of abuse, clinical symptoms that occur as alcohol concentration in the blood increases, as well as ways of dealing with acute poisoning.
