The Schools consider the safety of students within and outside the school as their first priority. For this reason they take the following steps:
- 24-hour guard by the superintendent
- Guard during school hours at the gate
- Recording the information of the ID card of parents and visitors
- Parent/Visitor Cards
- Driving regulation for private cars on school grounds
- Entry permission slip for students
- Exit permission slip for students
- Infirmary-Nurse
- Enhanced supervision by teachers during breaks
- Liability insurance
- Fleet Management- Online school bus management program
- Finger protectors on the classroom doors
Mandoulides Schools, whose primary concern is students’ safety, follows the protection guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Organization (EODY) to limit the spread of coronavirus in schools and in our country.
Protection measures against the spread of the virus include personal hygiene instructions and cleaning and disinfection of premises, surfaces and objects.
In addition, the Schools are constantly following the guidance of the Ministry of Health, EODY, the World Health Organization (WHO) and all relevant bodies and are taking the following additional measures:
We inform students and teachers daily about the rules of personal hygiene both during morning assemblies as well as with announcements on bulletin boards as well as with instructional videos on the screens.
We have enhanced cleaning measures with additional staff, who regularly disinfect areas, buses, surfaces and objects such as knobs and switches which are often used during the school day.
We have installed antiseptic devices outside the classrooms that are frequently used by students, staff and visitors.
We regularly inform the cleaning staff and care services, and have equipped infirmaries with what the EODY guidelines dictate.
We are prepared for distance learning support in case schools are closed for a long time.
However, since safety is a matter that concerns all of us, we take it for granted that you will cooperate in strict compliance with hygiene rules and protection guidance.
If a student develops clinical symptoms of flu, he or she must stay home and return to school 48 hours after the symptoms have passed.
In the event that a parent has recently travelled to countries and areas with continuous spread of Covid-19 or has come into contact with people that have been to such places, we recommend following the guidelines of EODY, informing the school principals accordingly and keeping children at home for 14 days.
- Molecular Diagnostic Testing for COVID-19 in all staff (educational, administrative, associates).
- Students have their temperatures checked before boarding the school bus.
- Temperature sensors upon entering the school premises.
- Parents and others are not allowed to enter the school premises unless there is a scheduled meeting with the principals or teachers.
- Breaks take place at different times and places for each class.
DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL LEVELS - Use of the canteen at different times for each class.
DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL LEVELS - Canteen products in individual packages.
- BUBBLES
DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL LEVELS - Lessons in outdoor areas specially designed for as long as the weather conditions allow.
- Creating small groups for activities.
- Increase of the cleaning staff.
- Constant sanitization of the schools’ premises and school buses.
- Constant disinfection of playgrounds and sports areas.
- There are two school infirmaries in each school with nurses.

The transportation of the students of the Schools is done either under the responsibility of the parents/guardians, or by school buses used specifically for this purpose.
Parents/guardians acknowledge that the obligation of the Schools for the supervision of the student starts, either from the time of arrival at the school premises, for those students who arrive under the responsibility of parents; or from the moment the student boards the school bus.
The responsibility of the Schools ceases when the student leaves the school or at their disembarkation from the return school bus. From that moment the Schools do not bear any responsibility for any damage or injury the student may suffer due to any cause or event.
The school bus is an extension of the Schools. For this reason, the rules of conduct that apply in the school environment apply in their entirety on the school bus. Failure to follow the rules leads to disciplinary consequences.
