Theatrical Play "O Leonis"

The drama club of the Schools, as part of the Panhellenic Games of Art held on our school premises, presented the novel by Georgios Theotokas, O Leonis, a play with which our drama club won the third honorary position in the Games.

The award-winning performance will be repeated on Wednesday, April 26th, at the theater of Mandoulides Schools Cultural and Sports Center (Junior - Senior High School premises, 12th km National Road Thessaloniki-N. Moudania). Admission is free.

One of the most characteristic works of Theotokas, Leonis is the author himself, but also, in general, the sensitive teenager who lived and grew under the shadow and sounds of the First World War. In Leonis, written in 1940, the author describes Constantinople, his childhood and his forced fleeing after 1922.

The innovation that Leonis brought to the teenage novel is apparent in this magnificent reconstruction and representation of the spirit and the climate of a shocking era, where History ... held the leading role.
