Students awarded by the Hellenic Physicists Association

On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Physicists Association presented students from Northern Greece, Thessaly and Epirus with the awards of:
the 5th Panhellenic Junior High School Physics Competition 2017 and
the 27th Panhellenic Senior High School Physics Competition 2017.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Dimitris Nanopoulos, professor at the University of Texas while invited guests included the Deputy Mayor of Education, the Deputy Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Dean of the School of Sciences, the Regional Director of Education of Central Macedonia and School Counselors.

From Mandoulides Schools, the following students were awarded according to the results of the EEF:

10th Grade:
Stangos: 7th place nationwide
Pliaridis: 66th place
Chalimourdas: 67th place

12th Grade:
Pilianidis: 6th place nationwide
Sitsiani: 20th place nationwide

7th Grade:
Efremidou: 17th place nationwide
Maligkoudi: 60th place nationwide

8th Grade:
Ch. Karafillia: 31st place nationwide

9th Grade:
Z. - M. Kamopoulou: 89th place
Mastoris: 98th place
