On the occasion of our thematic unit "Learning to Move Safely", the Kindergarten students visited the traffic education park in Agios Ioannis, Kalamaria. The aim of our excursion was for the Kindergarten students to get to know and understand the rules of the Traffic Code through an experiential approach, which helps develop good traffic behavior from an early age and later contributes to avoiding accidents.
They learned the basic pedestrian behavior rules when they are in the street. For example, we check the pedestrian traffic light and the road both ways, we always use the pedestrian crossings, and we only walk on the sidewalk. They also realized that we should not forget to always use the safety belt and a helmet on the means of transport for our safety.
