1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Mathematical Association of America competitions

On Thursday, February 15, 2018, Mandoulides Schools participated in the AMC 10B and AMC 12B competitions of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). 21 students of 9th and 10th Grade took part in AMC 10B and 5 students of 11th and 12th Grade took part in AMC 12B. The students competed in 25 multiple choice questions over 75 minutes.

In the AMC 10B competition our students won:

1st place S. Mastoris (10th Grade)
2nd place O. Dadoudi (10th Grade)
3rd place K. Markopoulos (9th Grade)

In the AMC 12B competition our students won:

1st place O. Pliaridis (11th Grade)
2nd place A. - Ch. Savva (11th Grade)
3rd place K. Koutroulis (11th Grade)

Student O. Pliaridis qualified for the next phase of the competition, American Invitational Mathematics Examination II (AIME II), which will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Mandoulides Schools, as he scored over 100 points.

Mandoulides Schools have been participating in MAA competitions for seven years.
