The students of 1st and 3rd Grade gladly accepted Konstantinidis Bookstore’s Christmas invitation and participated in an event entitled “Feel Christmas. Think Kids. Love Books”, on Saturday, 8 December, 2018.
There they had the opportunity to attend the presentation of the books of five beloved Greek children's book writers -Delina Vasileiadi, Lida - Alexandra Liarou, Sofia Nema, Vasiliki Nevrokopli and Thodoris Papaioannou- all of whom they also met in person.
More specifically, 1st Grade helped Thodoris Papaioannou present his third book “Together” whose main character is named Melios. Our little students took on the roles of beetles Melios and Melani and presented a short dramatization of the story while the author spoke to the children in his own unique way about love, played and sang with them.
Afterwards, the students of 3rd Grade enjoyed the narration of fairy tale “Miracle Night” by Vasiliki Nevrokopli and they dedicated a song about love to her. At the end, all students joined their voices and sang traditional Christmas carols.
