Gold Medal in an International Music Contest
Our student C. Mavridou (8th Grade) took part in the International Music Contest “Music@e Contest” and was awarded with the gold medal in the category of Solo Violin 12-14.
Christina is a student in the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki attending the Violin class taught by Giannis Kormpetis.
There were two rounds in the contest. In the first round Christina gave a live streaming performance with a symphonic orchestra, playing the concert No.2 in G Major for a violin and an orchestra, by Joseph Haydn, for which she received a distinction and thus qualified for the second round. In the second round she competed by playing the first part of the concert No.2, Op.222 by Henri Wieniawskin and she was awarded with the Gold Medal.
