Environmental excursion to the Dam of Thermi
The students of the Environmental Group of Junior-Senior High School went on a winter excursion to the Dam of Thermi. They learned about this special ecosystem and its history, observed waterfowl species and the local flora and conducted Ecology experiments.
More specifically, they conducted experiments in order to measure the primary productivity and the rate of decomposition in this ecosystem.
The experiments will be concluded with another excursion during spring.
