Mandoulides Schools took part in the 1st Robotics Festival “Electric Circus" for children, held at City Hall on February 28th and March 1st. The Elementary School was represented by students of the extracurricular robotics program D. Georgakainas, D. - G. Laskaridis and K. Markopoulos, who took part in the robot Edison competition and won the 2nd place among 15 schools. The Junior High School was represented by students of the extracurricular robotics program G. Delliou, A. Lamprianidis, G. Megremis, K. Nikolaidis, D. Romanides and C. Chorinos, who took part in the festival’s exhibition, presented an improvised electronic digital musical instrument and won the 2nd place. During the festival several events took place concurrently; students had the opportunity to participate in robotics and 3D printing workshops, lectures on robotics in education and presentations of the interactive robot NAO. The event was jointly organized by Robotixlab and the municipality of Thessaloniki.
