The Beatles visit the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art

As every year, this month we are starting our “Booktime” program. This literature and discourse program will be completed with a big class art project!

Taking into consideration the different uses of paper within this project, the Beatles visited the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art. They took part in the interesting program “Paper” which examines artists’ relationship with this everyday material, in an imaginative and creative way. During our trip, this material, so simple, inexpensive, plentiful, useful and familiar to children, with its multiple uses and applications in our everyday life, became the tool and the key to unlocking the secrets of modern art!

Through an imaginative story, the Beatles were invited to explore selected creations from the artists Pavlos, Costas Tsoclis and Niki de Saint Phalle, from the museum's collection, and discover the material from which they are made.

The program ended with a visual workshop, in which our students created their own works of art from paper using Pavlos's technique.
