The choir and the orchestra of the Schools traveled to Germany from 26 February to 2 March, 2018 and gave two concerts at the European School Munich, joining in with the school's musical ensembles.
Music unites! And this is what the students of the two schools experienced! The concerts were impressive, with our orchestra and choir presenting a choreographed program - a trip around the world, dedicated to the students of the European School that come from all over the world! The impressive closing part with the union of the two choirs and the two orchestras singing "Imagine", "We Move the World" and the Greek "Ta Pedia Zografizoun ston Ticho” touched the audience and made them feel elated!
The Dutch principal of the school enthusiastically praised the concert by saying:
"The Greeks prove in all their activities that Greece
is the cradle of European civilization!"
The musical ensembles also had the opportunity to visit the city of Munich, the Olympic Village, the historic pedestrian center with the famous churches and the treasure palace, the famous Allianz Arena stadium, the picturesque Neuschwanstein castle, where they went on horse-drawn carriages, the highest peak of the German Alps, the Zugspitze, which they reached by cable car, the village of Oberammergau with its painted houses, and the impressive Kuchlbauer beerhouse with the unique tower of the artist Hundertwasser!
