The students of Kindergarten learn, "What do we need laws for?"

Writer Lili Skoulariki visits Kindergarten

As part of the literary program "Bookpartners", the students of Kindergarten had the opportunity to read the book "What do we need laws for?" by Lili Skoulariki, Children's Law Library Editions.

Guided by the book and through a range of creative activities, the children had fun, developed their critical ability and realized the necessity of principles and rules that govern our everyday life.

Taking advantage of the capabilities technology has to offer, our little students entered the Digital Classroom and got connected live via Skype with Mrs. Skoulariki. They spoke with her, shared their experiences and impressions from the book and invited her to the Schools.

A few days later, they welcomed her to Kindergarten, talked with her and expressed their queries about the book they had read. They presented in their own unique way short dramatizations, paintings and other artworks inspired by the heroes of the book and enticed the writer into taking part in their special celebration!

The Children's Law Library aims to contribute to the familiarization of children, from a very early age, with basic legal concepts and institutions, principles and values, which are valuable tools for their adult life as free and active citizens.
