Panhellenic Art Competition 2020: Art, Education, Culture
For the sixth consecutive year, the Schools held the Panhellenic Art Competition from Thursday, 20 to Saturday, 22 February, 2020 with the participation of over 700 students from 49 private and public schools from all over Greece and the Greek diaspora
Art Competition is aimed at junior and senior high school, and students of Greece and the Greek diaspora take part in theater, poetry, music (musical and choral ensembles), painting and photography. It is a youthful art festival and a unique celebration of education and culture.
What really counts in Art Competition is not getting awarded; it is effort, fair play, creative encounters as well as coexistence with peers, time for reflection and artistic expression.
Students had the opportunity to cultivate their inclinations and showcase their skills in artistic creation while realizing the value of art in this day and age.
The jury of each category, which consisted of renowned personalities of arts and letters, expressed their satisfaction and enthusiasm for the level of the students’ creations, their effort and their talent.
Awards were presented to the participants on the last day of the event while the audience watched the documentary “Zografeio”, directed by Giorgos Moutevelis.
