Distinctions in the Mathematical Association of America AMC 10Α και AMC 12A competitions
On Friday, 31 January, 2020 junior and senior high school students participated in the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) AMC 10A and AMC 12A competitions. 22 students of 9th and 10th Grade and student P. – P. Nikou (7th Grade), who ranked amongst the top 5% of the participants in the AMC 8 competition worldwide, took part in AMC 10A. 6 students of 11th and 12th Grade took part in AMC 12A. All students were tested in 25 multiple choice questions in 75 minutes.
In the AMC 10A competition A. Argyropoulos (10th Grade) ranked first, K. Konstantinidis (9th Grade) was second and O. Konstantinidis (9th Grade) and P. – P. Nikou (7th Grade) won third place.
In the AMC 12A competition first place went to I. Dimoulios, second place to Ch. Karafyllia and third place to A. Toli, all students of 11th Grade.
Mandoulides Schools have been participating in MAA competitions for nine years.
