Talking to writers about the year of 1821

Μαθητές του Νηπιαγωγείου ταξίδεψαν στο ελληνικό παρελθόν. Μέσα από τον μαγικό κόσμο των βιβλίων ξεδίπλωσαν σελίδες της ελληνικής ιστορίας

Talking to writers about the year of 1821

As part of the event ‘Talking about 1821’, in their digital classrooms, students met online with well-known Greek authors. They shared their tthoughts and reflections on the Greek Revolution, shed light on unknown aspects of it, while they revived people, whose actions and beliefs marked the course of our country.

A few days before the National Anniversary of March 25th, Kindergarten students traveled to the glorious Greek past. Through the magical world of books, pages of Greek history unfolded, bringing to light more or less known events of the past

Our young Kindergarten students also welcomed Christos Dimopoulos. In his own unique way, the author presented his book entitled "How to survive in Greece during the revolution of 1821", published by Psichogios. Through his immediate and vivid narration, he brought to life scenes from the daily life of the Greeks at that time.

Today, more than ever before, 200 years after the heroic uprising of 1821, the words and motto of our ancestors for freedom acquire a significant meaning.

At a time when the pandemic and fear are at the forefront, the smiles and passion of young children embody the optimism of all of us for a better future. They embody the desire of young and old people to get rid of the invisible enemy quickly!
