On Friday, 29th March a lecture by the physicist Giorgos Panagiotakopoulos on “Learning how to learn better” was held at the Theatre of the Cultural Centre of the Schools. The speaker, apart from his role as an educator, has specialized in issues of cognitive and educational psychology, specifically in more efficient learning as well as in the specific issue of optimizing the approach to physics problems and beyond. The lecture was attended by 11th and 12th Grade students. The children learned about tips and instructions for daily practice in their studies to overcome difficulties and improve their performance. In the end, the speaker had a creative discussion with the directly concerned candidates of 12th Grade about the appropriate practices during the time period just before the exams.
