Anastasia Sylia Chatziathanassiou, a student of the Primary School of Mandoulides Schools, took an important initiative for the cleaning and tidying of the outdoor area in the Municipality of Kalamaria.
It all started on the occasion of a letter from the Third Grade student to the Mayor of Kalamaria, in order for him to intervene for the beautification of the park, where she usually plays with her friends every day.
Mr. Dardamanelis responded to the student's invitation and on Sunday morning, May 30, young children along with the scouts and a group of volunteers started working. Using their colours and paintbrushes, they painted the area where they spend their free time in the afternoons and made it look nicer. In this way, they are sending the message to all of us, young and old, that the protection of the environment is everyone's responsibility.
