Registration Process

Student Registration (2016 - 2017 school year)

Day Care Center, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Junior - Senior High School student registration for the school year 2016 - 2017 takes place at the Schools' Billing Department or the Schools’ Administration.

  • For Kindergarten - Elementary School students by 21/06/2016
  • For Junior - Senior High School students by 30/06/2016

According to the Φ6/45/Γ1/298/19-03-1997 document issued by the Ministry of Education, registration for the new school year 2016-2017 is as follows for children who were born in:

  • Year 2004 in 7th grade (Junior High School).
  • Year 2010 in 1st grade (Elementary School).
  • Year 2011 in Kindergarten.
  • Year 2012 in Pre-Kindergarten.
  • Year 2013, 2014 in Day Care Center.

Signature acknowledging receipt of and reading by the parent or legal guardian of the Rules and Regulations document is done at the School's Billing Department or Administration offices at the time of registration.

Methods of tuition fee payment

A student’s registration for the new school year requires payment of fees and other charges for the previous school year.

Upon registration of a student in the Day Care Center, Kindergarten, Elementary School, or Junior - Senior High School, a deposit of 500€ towards tuition must be made. The remaining balance for the year is payable in equal monthly instalments through May 1st.

For security reasons, it is the Schools’ policy not to accept payment in cash.

To avoid error and inconvenience, the bank deposit slip must include all this information:

  • Student's full name.
  • Parent’s - legal guardian’s full name.
  • Grade - Class.
  • Reason for payment: Tuition fees.

A receipt of payment will appear within three days on the online platform my.mandoulides.edu.gr.

Scholarship Program

In order to provide students with equal access to the benefits of education, the Schools provide financial aid and scholarships (full or partial) based on academic performance, conduct and distinctions in competitions on a regional, national and international level, as well as in sport.

Scholarships are awarded to 6th Grade students from public and private schools who achieve the highest scores in the written scholarship examinations in courses of Modern Greek and Mathematics, based on the subject matter of the last grades of Elementary School.

Scholarships are independent from each family’s financial status.

There are two categories of scholarships:
a)For Mandoulides Schools’ students.
b)For public and private schools’ students.

The total number of scholarships is fourteen (14), seven (7) for each category of students:

  • Two (2) 100% scholarships.
  • Four (4) 50% scholarships.
  • Four (4) 30% scholarships.
  • Four (4) 20% scholarships.

Criteria for maintaining a scholarship:

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • 7th, 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
    • 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek), Mathematics, Science, (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English.
    • 11th Grade: Modern Greek and Orientation courses.
  • Overall Grade over 19
  • Outstanding conduct.
  • Distinctions in regional, international and national competitions.
  • Participation in activities and programs of the Schools.

Becoming acquainted with the scholarship program

As part of the scholarship program, on the first Sunday of March the Schools invite prospective students to:

  • Learn details about the scholarship program.
  • Tour the Schools.
  • Tackle topics from scholarship examinations of previous years under the guidance of teachers of the corresponding academic subjects.

After the end of the school year, students of the Schools and other public and private schools are given the opportunity to qualify for a scholarship or to increase the percentage of their scholarship.

The amount of the scholarship varies from 10% to 100% of tuition, depending on performance, the student's profile, and the financial situation of the family.

Examined courses:

Students taking part in the interim classes scholarship examinations (8th - 12th Grade) are tested on the syllabuses of the school year that has just ended and the courses are:

  • 8th - 10th Grade: Modern Greek and Mathematics
  • 11th - 12th Grade: Modern Greek and Ancient Greek (Orientation Courses A)
  • 11th - 12th Grade: Modern Greek and Mathematics (Orientation Courses B and C)

Selection criteria

  • High grades, over 18 in the courses tested
  • Overall Grade over 19
  • Outstanding conduct.
  • Distinctions in regional, national and international competitions.
  • Activities and aptitudes.
  • Family’s financial status. Overall family income must not exceed €40,000.
  • Interview with a three-member committee (a philologist, a mathematician and a member of the administration of the Schools).

Documents needed

After the examination results are released, parents / legal guardians of the selected students must submit to the Secretariat of the Junior - Senior High School the following documents:

  • Copy of transcript or graduating certificate for the previous school year.
  • E1 - Tax Return Form of year 2016
  • Π - Taxation Notice of Assessment for the last 3 years
  • ΕΝΦΙΑ - Single Property Tax.

Criteria of retaining a scholarship:

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • 7th, 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
    • 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek), Mathematics, Science, (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English.
    • 11th Grade: Modern Greek and Orientation courses.
  • Overall Grade over 19.
  • Outstanding conduct.
  • Distinctions in regional, international and national competitions.

The three (3) students who receive the highest overall grade in each class are awarded three (3) scholarships corresponding to discounts in the tuition of the following school year.

The scholarship percentages are as follows:

  • First place: 30% on tuition fees
  • Second place: 20% on tuition fees
  • Third place: 10% on tuition fees

In the event of:

  • Three (or more) students in the first place, the 60% of the first, second and third place (30% and 20% and 10%) is equally divided.
  • Two students in the first place, the 50% of the first and second (30% and 20%) is equally divided.
  • Two (or more) students in the second place, the 30% of the second and third place (20% and 10%) is equally divided.
  • Two (or more) students in third place, the 10% is equally divided.

Scholarship criteria:

  • Excellent academic performance, above 19, in main courses:
    • 7th, 8th, 9th Grade: Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
    • 10th Grade: Greek Language (Ancient Greek, Modern Greek Literature, Modern Greek), Mathematics, Science, (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English.

Students who excel in national competitions and form part of the respective national teams in Balkan and International Olympiads are granted scholarships up to 100% of tuition.

Some of the competitions are: Hellenic Mathematical Society, Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Debate etc.

Sports basketball scholarships up to 80% of tuition are granted to students who combine impressive academic and athletic performance.

Scholarship criteria

  • High work ethics.
  • High sports ethics.
  • Ability to compete at a high level.
  • Academic performance above 15.

Criteria of retaining a scholarship:

  • Academic performance above 15.
  • Outstanding conduct.
  • Proper behavior on and off the court.
  • Consistency, interest and systematic effort in training.
  • Participation in the school championships of the Schools.
  • Participation in the teams of Cultural and Sports Association Evangelos Mandoulides.
  • Participation in activities of the Schools.

Open Days

We would like to inform you that Mandoulides Schools have introduced the program Open Days for new students and their parents. As part of this program, students and parents have the opportunity to:

  • Attend events at Mandoulides Schools’ Day Care Center, Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior - Senior High Schools, become acquainted with how we operate and what our teaching philosophy is, and observe the pedagogical practices we use and their results.
  • Meet with the Principals of all educational levels and the Coordinators of Programs, and be informed in further detail about issues concerning the curriculum, the educational, cultural and sports programs as well as the extracurricular and after school activities.
  • Visit the premises and see the School’s facilities and technical infrastructure.

In this way, you will get to know us better; you will receive answers to your questions; and above all, you will evaluate our educational work and feel confident about your choice.
